Our Vision:

Powell River Family Place / Resource Program welcomes all families with young children. It is a child-friendly, comfortable and safe place where families with young children can:

• meet and make new friends
• gain a sense of community
• find on-going support and assistance to raise happy, healthy children

Programs and Activities:

• Regular, informal parent-child drop-in
• Fun and friendly environment for parents and children
• Quiet area for breastfeeding moms
• Trained staff provide information and resources
• Children's Book Bag Library
• Clothing exchange
• GOOD FOOD BOX purchase and pick-up
• Community Garden Group
• Computer & Internet access for parents and caregivers
• Healthy snacks

Low or no-cost special event programming, including:

• Parent-Child Mother Goose
• Toddler Time Drop-In
• Open Space Parent-Led Programming (Wednesdays 12:30 - 4:30)
• Fun in the Sun summer program
• Seasonal celebrations
