Since 1980 the Powell River Genealogy Group membership has been supporting each other in doing their own genealogy research. Our goal is to obtain specialized research resources and to help interested people begin their own family history research. Meetings are held nine times a year on the last Sunday of each month (except July, August and December) at Cranberry Centre, 6792 Cranberry Street, at 7 pm, where members have access to the groups’ genealogy library. We also maintain Vital Statistics and Cemetery databases for the Powell River area.
